Regulator's response to inaccurate reports on proposed CAM Council 10.01.08'
It is the view of the GRCCT that the Complementary and Alternative Therapies professions as a whole have suffered from recent and repeated wild claims and inaccurate statements issued to the media by some of the bodies proposing to launch their own regulatory processes. In an attempt to establish some common ground and to hopefully offset some of the confusion this will cause to public and profession alike the GRCCT extended an invitation to all of the bodies that are operating such proposals, to come, to meet and to talk in a neutral environment with no pre-requisites.
Whilst all other invited bodies agreed to attend the CoChair of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council applied a different perspective on the invitation:
